I’m Hugo De Bernardo, a performing artist, producer, and musical director based in Northern California. With extensive musical experience, I aim to assist emerging talent in shaping their musical presence in the industry.
My expertise spans three main areas: Songwriting/Music Production, Performance/Session Work, and Musical Direction/Creative Consulting. With over a decade of performance experience, I excel as an advanced guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist, and singer.
My background includes a college degree in graphic design/marketing, supplemented by hands-on learning in music performance, songwriting, production, mixing, and live sound. I’ve gained valuable experience through my involvement in various musical projects.
As a performing artist, songwriter/producer, and musical director, I’ve cultivated my own band/project, Paradise Drive. From branding to music production and live show crafting, I’ve been integral to its success, earning two consecutive nominations for Best Indie Alternative Rock Song at the San Diego Music Awards in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, Paradise Drive was nominated for Best Pop Artist.
Additionally, I’ve contributed as a songwriter, producer, and session musician for the alternative rock band Signal For Pilot. Playing a versatile role, I’ve toured extensively in Southern California and co-produced/co-written the band’s full-length album ‘Next Level’ alongside executive producer, Joey Bradford, guitarist for The Used, Hell or High Water, and Lé Tired. Notably, the band garnered four consecutive San Diego Music Award nominations for Best Indie Alternative Rock Song (three) and Best Alternative Album (one) in 2022 and 2023.
